A new post, since there is at least ONE person with my blog bookmarked...
Wow, where to begin... I guess EFMB would be a good place to start, since that is where I left off.
So EFMB didn't go exactly how I planned... I made it through the hardest parts of the training and then screwed up the 9-line MEDEVAC. Totally stupid, because it is so easy, but after being dragged 20 meters by Ranger students, post-fall with a litter carrying a 180 pound dummy, I was a little shaken. But, I picked up my swollen knee, bloody knuckles, and gave the 9-line my best shot. Oh well, I will get it next time.
A few weeks later, Will and I had a great night out with my old friends Misty and Chris. We went to several country bars in Nashville and saw a great band that Misty's friend just signed. They even invited Misty to come sing a couple of songs with them! She was awesome, and Will was totally blown away by her voice (just like most people are, because it doesn't seem to match her body for some reason). Here is Will and I being our silly selves at one of the bars downtown...
On to the next big event in the life of LT Richert... Leave in California! Despite the running around and trying to see everyone in a one-week time frame, I had a great time. The highlight of the week was Niki's Commissioning. It was great to see the Cadre and the cadets again. One more Commissioning to go... You better shape it up Ms. Jennifer! I also had a great time trying on wedding dresses with my mom and my great aunt. I definitely found the one I want, it is so beautiful and everyone in the shop was looking at me and commenting on how good it looked on me. I would have posted some pictures of my leave activities, but Groome Transportation decided to give my camera away after they told me they found it in their van and they would hold it for me... I am totally pissed to say the least.
Anyhow, that is about it for now... I will try and post a little more often since there is still at least one person that reads this...
66H out...
